Silver State Youth Sports, a nonprofit dba Silver State Girls Volleyball Club, was established to provide junior athletes and families a positive environment for volleyball training. We strive to give each athlete an opportunity to grow in technique, skill level, team work, and leadership in a competitive and fun learning environment. Our training philosophy is to help players understand how and why they perform certain physical and mental skills to maximize retention and execution in competition. This increases players’ skill and understanding of the game. We are dedicated to helping our players reach their goals and potential and build quality teams that reflect the essence of Silver State Volleyball. We teach our players what it means to be a true athlete and team player by stressing the importance of team synergy and what it takes to create it. Our staff loves this sport and is dedicated to helping grow junior volleyball in Northern Nevada through passing on our love of the game. We hope our players grow to love the game as well. We are strong believers in hard work, and want our athletes and parents to have fun and enjoy their season.
We are proud to provide competitive tournament and practice schedules. We are all about giving back to this amazing sport, and helping our athletes reach their goals while making their childhood safe, enjoyable and fun. Silver State Volleyball Club has a range of playing levels, divisions, and costs. We attempt to match each player to a team relative to their level of commitment.
As a non-profit organization, our mission is to provide the opportunity for players in the Reno/Carson/Truckee/Tahoe area to play high-level volleyball while learning sportsmanship, teamwork, and valuable life skills through competition and challenging training in a positive learning environment. The goal is to create productive, proactive participants in life.
Player development and max potential are our primary objectives. Coaches focus on teaching sound fundamental mechanics, preparing players physically and mentally to compete at a high level, and developing good teammates. We believe that if we get the learning process right, players will enjoy the journey, compete well, achieve max performance on the court, and the wins will come.
