Before every game, Monica Knight, the senior captain of the volleyball team, closes her eyes and visualizes the game for five minutes. Then, she leads her team onto the court and works her hardest to make sure those visions come true.

Cornell volleyball player Jordan Reeder was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for the first time in her career, as was announced this afternoon by the conference office.

Freshmen volleyball player Corey Phillips, Reno, NV, has been named the Rochester Area College Athletics Athlete of the Week after guiding the Raiders to a 3-1 record this past weekend at the Malone University Invitational Tournament.

Tosha Nunes named to Frontier Conference All-Freshman Team
League champion Lewis-Clark State and the University of Great Falls each had three players on the First Team while Rocky Mountain College and Montana Tech each had two athletes on the First Team. Carroll College and Westminster College had one each.
Paige Olivo is named the California Pacific Conference Freshman of the Year
California Pacific Conference champion Menlo College took the top two individual honors and placed three players to headline the all-conference women's volleyball first team, Commissioner Don Ott announced today. |
