Silver State Youth Sports is dedicated to supporting the youth of Northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe area by using volleyball to promote personal development and discipline. Silver State provides after school and summer programs in addition to running Silver State Volleyball Club. The club focuses on a combination of athletics and academics to help participants go on to college. As of 2013, 107 players have attended college and received over three million in athletic, academic and need based aid.
Silver State is a 501(c)-3 corporation and uses fees and donations to support the activities. Over 300 kids participate each year in programs each year from ages 8 to 18 with participants.
